Pratyangira Devi Maha Mantra is the Maha Mantra dedicated to Goddess Pratyangira Devi. Pratyangira is sometimes spelled as Prathyangira and is also known as Narasimhi, Narasimhika, Narasimbigai, and Sarabeshwari. Goddess Pratyangira is of “Ksham” Beeja / Beejam (seed) and “Hoom” Shakti (energy).

The mantra should be recited during Mangala Hora. One can also chant the Pratyangira Devi Maha Mantra after sunset or at late night.
Number of Times To Chant The Pratyangira Devi Maha Mantra
The Maha Mantra of Pratyangira Devi can be chanted for a minimum of 3 times. It can also be chanted 9, 27, 108 times or 1,008 times.
In order to attain siddhi of this Maha Mantra, one should chant this mantra for 1,008 times for a period of 3 mandala.

Who Can Chant This Mantra
This powerful mantra can be chanted by anyone regardless of gender and age.
Ladies should avoid chanting this mantra during their monthly menstrual cycles. Married men are also advised to refrain from chanting this mantra when their wives are undergoing their menses (if they live under the same roof).

Where To Chant This Mantra
This mantra should be chanted facing the East while seated on the Northeast quadrant of your house or puja room.
*Though not compulsory, it is best for the devotee to be dressed in red coloured clothing while chanting this Pratyangira Amman Maha Mantra.
Naivedya / Nivedhyam / Prasadham (Food Offerings) For Pratyangira Devi
One can offer savory prasad such as lemon rice, puliyodhara (tamarind rice). Apart from that, panakam (a drink made out of jaggery and cardamon) can be offered too.
Besides that, a red banana, pomegranates, raisins, red grapes, dates, and any red coloured fruits can be offered as Naivedhyam for Pratyangira Devi. A piece of uncut lemon and/or dried red chilli too can be offered.
Flowers / Plants For Pratyangira Devi
You can offer any red coloured flowers along with fragrant flowers such as Jasmine. A lime garland made out of either 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, 90, 99, or 108 lime pieces can be offered too. Apart from that, one can also offer garland made out of dried red chilli to Goddess Pratyangira.
