It is vegetarian food that inculcates in a person, the noble thoughts and enlivens his mind and body. Practitioners of Naturopathy claim that vegetarians can enjoy health and longevity. Indian philosophers are of the opinion that human body is like a temple which should be constructed and maintained using vegetables, fruits, dairy products, grains, and pulses.

 

Vegetables contain fat that gives the body maximum energy. Fruits and pulses contain proteins that augment the process of digestions. Further, fibre that helps in the smooth functioning of the bowels and intestines can be found only in the vegetables. A study conducted by the Virginia University reveals that vegetarians are less likely to be affected by mortal diseases like cancers.
